We are constantly working to 'use less' in everything we do from production to shipping. We want to share with you how we try to lessen our ecological footprint in our shipping practices. These are constantly changing as more waste-less options become available so check back regularly for updates.
Shipping Enveloppes: We use Eco-Enclose's 100% Recycled Padded Mailers. The enveloppes are made of recovered newspaper matted into a layer of cushioning -- like a paper pillow, then sandwiched between two solid layers of recycled kraft paper.
Labels: We use all-natural and unbleached labels made with naturally occurring fiber that are compostable and biodegradable, made by Pure Labels. The label adhesives have been produced in compliance with major compost standards including international compost standard.
Packing Material: We usually don't use much packing material but if we do it is either in the form of kraft packing paper or corn starch packing peanuts that we have received and are re-using.
Business Cards: Our motto for shipping is no extra packaging, cards, or plastic wrap. We create our business cards out of recycled kraft paper that we print at home and cut ourselves.
